Job summary

DQS Inc is seeking a Medical Device Lead Auditor for an immediate contract opportunity based in Schaumburg, Illinois. The role involves extensive travel to client locations for audits and requires developing audit plans and managing teams.

Ideal candidates will have a background in quality systems management and knowledge of ISO standards. A Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and at least four years of experience in the medical device industry is required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of four years of experience in quality systems management.
• Experience in medical device development, manufacture, and/or testing.
• Passed or ability to pass a 40-hour ISO9001 or ISO13485 lead auditor course.

Responsibilities

• Visit client locations to perform audits.
• Develop audit scope and manage audit team.
• Present conclusions to customers regarding nonconformities.

Skills

Knowledge of management systems audits

Experience with ISO-9001, ISO13485, and/or GMP audits

Risk management principles knowledge

Excellent communication skills

Ability to travel extensively

Education

Bachelor’s degree in physical/life science or engineering
