  • And more!

The Contract Management Lead is responsible for establishing and overseeing a consistent, disciplined approach to contract management across all construction business units. This role serves as the central point of coordination for contract review, risk mitigation, stakeholder alignment, and lifecycle management. The position is critical to protecting the organization, reducing unnecessary risk, and building a culture of thoughtful, strategic contract practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized contract templates, review protocols, and approval workflows in partnership with Risk.
  • Establish consistent systems, tools, and processes for contract review, approval, execution, management, and closeout.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance contract tracking, storage, retrieval, and monitoring.
Contract Review & Approval
  • Lead and manage the contract review and approval process across all construction entities within the sector.
  • Conduct detailed contract reviews to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company standards.
  • Act as the central liaison between Operations, Finance, Risk, and internal/external Legal teams.
  • Partner with leadership to identify risks early and support proactive mitigation before contract execution.
Training, Communication & Culture Building
  • Educate and coach project teams on contract terms, risk exposure, and compliance expectations.
  • Build organization-wide awareness and promote a culture of disciplined and strategic contract management.
  • Serve as an internal thought leader—shifting contract practices from “edit and execute” to “strategic and accountable.”
  • Set expectations and provide guidance to stakeholders involved in contract creation, negotiation, and review.
Lifecycle Management
  • Oversee contract documentation and lifecycle management from initiation through execution, change orders, performance monitoring, and closeout.
  • Conduct periodic check-ins and post-execution reviews to ensure obligations and deliverables are met.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Legal Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in contract management, construction operations, risk management, or related roles.
  • Proven experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing construction or commercial contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry terminology, project delivery methods, and risk exposures.
  • Familiarity with legal concepts, insurance requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement standardized processes, templates, and workflows.
  • Proficiency with contract management software, document control systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex terms clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage relationships at all organizational levels.
