Job summary

NetSteady Communications, Ltd is seeking experienced Network Installers / Low-Voltage Technicians for as-needed, contractor work. Projects span office buildings, event venues, warehouses, and other commercial spaces with local and regional scope.

Ideal candidates have proven network installer or low-voltage experience, provide their own tools, and can read basic network diagrams. On-site communication with project teams and customers is essential, with safety and professionalism prioritized.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a network installer or low-voltage technician.
  • Must be able to work as a 1099 independent contractor.
  • Must have all required tools, including punch-down tools, cable testers, crimpers, ladders.
  • Must have reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Ability to read basic network diagrams and floor plans.
  • Comfortable working on ladders and lifts; certifications a plus.
  • Excellent on-site communication with project leads and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and test Ethernet cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A).
  • Mount and install network equipment (switches, access points, patch panels, racks).
  • Perform cable management and labeling to industry standards.
  • Assist with WiFi access point placement and installation.
  • Troubleshoot basic connectivity and cabling issues.
  • Follow site safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
  • Communicate clearly with project leads and clients on-site.
