Job summary

SeaLink in Akron is seeking a skilled Locksmith Technician to join our team. The position is a contract role paying $900 per week, with on-call responsibilities for emergency lockouts and varying locations.

You will install and repair electronic and mechanical locks, cut keys, create master key systems, and advise customers on the best security options. Valid driver's license and own transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous locksmith experience preferred.
• Knowledge of different locks and security systems.
• Ability to use key-cutting machines and locksmith tools.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication.
• Own transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair locks including electronic and mechanical types.
• Cut new or duplicate keys using cutting machines.
• Create master key systems for commercial or residential properties.
• Troubleshoot and fix lock/security system issues.
• Advise customers on best lock or security options.
• Keep accurate service and material records.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper tool maintenance.
• On-call for emergency lockout situations; may work outdoors or at various locations.
