Job summary

Biamp Systems, LLC seeks a contract-to-hire Hardware Test Engineer III to design, develop, and implement production tests for its DSP products. You will build PCBA and end-of-line test plans, develop and debug tests on a flying probe platform, and create test automation software to control Biamp instruments on Windows platforms.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years in hardware test engineering, and strong ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
5+ years in a production hardware test engineering role.
Experience designing and debugging tests on a flying probe platform is required.
Strong understanding of hardware test methods, including AVB/Dante knowledge a plus.
Ability to read schematics and understand circuit operation.
Familiarity with serial, I2C, SPI, Ethernet protocols.

Responsibilities

Design, document, and implement tests for new products in collaboration with design engineers and manufacturing.
Develop PCBA and end-of-line test plans.
Develop and debug tests on a flying probe test platform.
Design and implement test automation software for Biamp products and instruments.
Design mechanical and electrical test fixtures.
Configure Windows-based test platforms and PC hardware.
Mentor junior Test Engineers and provide training to factory workers.
