Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Formworker in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of formwork materials, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Valid work permit for Canada.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction plans and blueprints to determine form specifications.
• Measure and cut materials to required lengths.
• Assemble and secure formwork using hand tools, nails, screws or bolts.
• Align forms according to grade stakes and layout lines.
• Place reinforcing steel bars into forms as per design requirements.
• Pour concrete into forms and smooth the surface using trowels or screeds.
• Remove forms after concrete has dried and cure the surface with appropriate tools.
• Repair or replace damaged forms as needed.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
