Job summary

Funk and Associates seeks a Contract Psychologist for an adult men’s state correctional facility in Represa/Sacramento, CA. This full-time, 40-hour/week role offers a competitive annual earning potential and immediate start on a 6–12 month relief contract.

The position requires a CA license, PhD/PsyD in Psychology, and at least 12 months of relevant experience, with orientation and background checks part of the process.

Qualifications

• California-licensed psychologist with PhD or PsyD.
• Minimum 12 months adult psychology experience in the last 3 years.
• BLS certification and malpractice insurance required.
• Experience in correctional, forensic, or high-risk settings preferred.
• Comfortable working with justice-involved populations and interdisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments for adults in a state correctional setting.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and crisis interventions.
• Provide group and individual services within a secure, structured environment.
