Job description

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and trials.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Prepare and argue motions.
• Draft, edit, and review pleadings, settlement agreements, parenting plans, and final orders.
• Perform legal research to support case strategy.
• Counsel clients on their options and help them choose the best course of action.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation.
• Manage cases independently from intake through resolution.
• Provide weekly case updates in the case management system and/or in meetings with the internal legal team.
• Follow firm policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia bar license in good standing.
• At least 5 years of family law experience.
• Demonstrated ability to run a case independently from intake through resolution, including depositions, discovery, and contested hearings.
• Empathetic and compassionate with clients, yet tenacious in advocacy.

Compensation

$120 per hour (commensurate with experience).
