Job summary

Centra Healthcare Solutions Inc is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA/COTA) for a contract assignment in a SNF/LTC setting. Experienced or newly graduated candidates are welcome to apply; the role involves working under an occupational therapist to help patients participate in rehabilitative activities.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, perform treatment activities, assess learning needs, and monitor progress according to a care plan.

Qualifications

• Must have earned either an Associates degree from an accredited school or a certificate from either a community, technical or vocational college.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant/ COTA or in the process of the application for licensure as an OTA/COTA.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with an occupational therapist.
• Assess the learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers with regards to age, level of understanding and emotional status.
• Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring of patient's progress.
• Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients goals.
