Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Contract Coach for youth sports at the Decatur Dekalb Family YMCA. This contract position focuses on teaching fundamentals, promoting good sportsmanship, and ensuring the safety of children in program activities.

• Must perform duties in accordance with the policies, goals, mission, values and objectives established by the Metropolitan Atlanta YMCA, Branch Strategic Plan, Safety Protocols, and Member Services Guidelines and Non-Negotiables.

Nature And Scope

Under the direction of the Sports Director, the Contract Coach will assist in developing, organizing, and administering team practices and games for their designated sport. Instruct young boys and/or girls in the fundamentals of sports while promoting a positive attitude and good sportsmanship through coaching. This is a contract position. The Contract Coach will be required to sign a individual coaching contract.

Emphasis will be placed on member service, program knowledge, member/staff safety, and communication with members and staff.
