Job summary

ScriptPro in Mission, KS is seeking a Contract Billing Specialist to manage the invoice process for a high volume of customer contracts. You will interpret purchase orders, create invoices in Oracle, monitor billing activity, and collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

This role emphasizes GAAP-compliant billing, strong attention to detail, and reliable customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• 3-5+ years’ experience in revenue accounting
• Ability to function in accordance with established procedures and GAAP
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and concepts
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external customers
• Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy in all billing‑related deliverables
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage tasks and collaborate effectively
• Highly collaborative, flexible, and adaptable when working with customers and cross‑functional teams

Responsibilities

• Process standard billing independently, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission
• Review billing data and supporting information for accuracy before finalizing invoices
• Manage routine billing tasks with minimal oversight, following established procedures
• Make decisions on standard billing matters and consult with the manager when issues fall outside normal guidelines
• Identify and resolve routine billing issues independently using established processes
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to gather information and resolve billing discrepancies
• Respond to routine client billing inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Recommend improvements to billing processes to enhance efficiency and turnaround time
• Troubleshoot routine Oracle billing issues and elevate more complex system problems when needed
• Monitor central billing inboxes, addressing emails and routing items appropriately
• Support year‑end audit activities by preparing billing documentation and responding to requests
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary:

The Contract Billing Specialist will oversee the invoice process for various types of customer contacts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Responsibilities include processing a high volume of invoices, interpreting purchase orders, and providing customer service. Additional tasks include creating invoices in Oracle, monitoring contract billing, updating internal documents, and collecting payments on past due invoices. Establishing positive relationships across departments and with customers is also essential.

Shift:

General business hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm CST. This hybrid role requires four on-campus days per week, with Fridays designated as the remote‑eligible day after the training period. Generally, all positions may be fully performed on-campus in Mission, KS. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.
