Job summary

Coherent in Connecticut is seeking a Training Specialist to provide technical expertise on DMG Mori DMU 95/160 platforms to Engineering and Operations. You will train and mentor personnel on programming methodologies, setup techniques, and in-process probing to improve throughput.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Technical Certification or equivalent experience in manufacturing tech.
• Minimum 5 years supporting advanced CNC machining platforms.
• Experience with DMG Mori DMU 95/160 is preferred.
• Experience with set-up validation and production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and knowledge transfer for DMG Mori centres to engineering and operations.
• Train personnel on programming methodologies, machining strategies, and setup techniques.
• Develop internal capability for programming support and project deployment.
• Support transfer of products into production with guidance and startup support.
• Share knowledge on probing, work offsets, process verification, and feedback systems.
• Guide on advanced machining technologies including Yasda and TaiyoKoki platforms.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to establish in-house expertise.
• Identify opportunities to improve machine utilization, reliability, and manufacturability.
