Job summary

Carpenter Co. is seeking a CAD Specialist at our Taylorsville, NC manufacturing plant to join a team focused on precision cutting and efficient production. You will enter and maintain contour cutting data in the CAD system, prepare patterns for cost systems, and train operators while ensuring accuracy and optimal material yield.

A high school diploma or GED and CAD experience are required, with six months to a year of training provided. Carpenter Co.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for this role.
• Six months CAD experience a must and training may take up to one year.
• Strong math skills and proficiency with Word, Excel and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Enter all parts into the CAD system for contour cutters.
• Perform general clerical data entry for patterns costing and order entry.
• Routinely correspond with production crew, sales and management.
• Maintain part entries with accuracy and update definitions.
• Train new operators and cross-train current operators on contour cutters.
