Job summary

Quantum Sky is seeking a highly technical ISSM / Security Automation Engineer to lead RMF/continuous assurance and to design automation for continuous security and compliance. You will implement Security as Code, automate control validation, and integrate security across cloud and DevSecOps workflows.

The role blends governance with hands-on scripting, with responsibilities spanning SSPs, risk assessments, automation pipelines, and vulnerability management in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ISSM/ISSO/Security Engineer/DevSecOps background.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, 800-37, RMF, security control assessment, and continuous monitoring.
• Hands-on automation experience, scripts, integrations, or software.
• Strong programming/scripting in Python and one or more of PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, or Go.
• Experience with JSON and YAML.
• Experience automating cybersecurity, infrastructure, compliance, or operational processes.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and management technologies.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF, Security Authorization & Continuous Assurance.
• Engineer Security & Compliance Automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, APIs, and cloud-native tech.
• Implement Compliance as Code and Continuous Control Monitoring.
• Embed Security into Cloud & DevSecOps workflows with CI/CD and IaC.
• Integrate security platforms, data, and tooling via APIs and machine-readable data.
• Manage vulnerabilities, findings, POA&Ms, and remediation through closure.
• Deliver continuous security visibility with dashboards and automated reporting.
