Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a Senior KPO Technician for hands-on Kaizen activities and Lean improvements on the shop floor. This 1st shift role supports the Kaizen Promotion Office to drive safe, efficient Lean operations onsite in Malden, MA.

You will interface with all departments, lead independent improvement projects, and assist in creating work instructions and TPM documents. Strong knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma and MS Office is required; ITAR/EAR regulations apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 years in continuous improvement related experience.
• 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require sponsorship.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supports Supervisors, Team Leaders and Associates in the application of the Lean principles.
• Assists in the creation of Work Instructions, Daily Management, 6 Sigma and TPM Documents.
• Assists in designs and fabricates equipment from Creform Tubing and other materials.
• Assists in the completion of Kaizen Newspaper Action Items.
• Participates in and supports Kaizen Event.
• Adheres to all Core Values and Core Competencies.

About the Opportunity:

The Senior KPO Technician will focus primarily on hands on shop floor Kaizen activities, performs a variety of Continuous Improvement tasks in support of the Kaizen Promotion Office. Aides in creating a safe, efficient, and effective Lean operation.

This role will be onsite 100% of the time. I

t is a 1st shift position with core hours of 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

• Assists in designs and fabricates equipment from Creform Tubing and other materials
• Assists in the completion of Kaizen Newspaper Action Items
• Participates in and supports Kaizen Event

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0-1 years in continuous improvement related experience
• 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Associate Degree or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
• Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
