Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive digital transformation and Lean initiatives at a plant transitioning from Webster, NY to Rochester (near RIT). You will lead data analytics, AI, and automation efforts to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency across manufacturing processes.

You will develop dashboards and digital tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and coach teams in Lean and digital adoption while ensuring data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/CS/IT/Data Analytics or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing Digitalization, Digital Transformation, Continuous Improvement, or Smart Manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, VSM, Kaizen, and Process Improvement.
  • Hands-on experience in Data Analytics, Dashboard Development, and Data Visualization (Power BI).
  • Experience leading Digital Transformation, AI, Automation, or Industry 4.0 initiatives in manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes with the ability to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Experience developing digital solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, or similar technologies.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good English communication skills and ability to collaborate with global stakeholders.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean deployment, Lean maturity improvement, and CI across the plant.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, VSM, Kaizen and process standardization projects.
  • Lead the plant's digitalization roadmap with digital solutions including Power BI, Power Apps, automation, and smart manufacturing tecnologias.
  • Develop dashboards, KPI reporting, and data visualization from production data.
  • Identify bottlenecks and drive AI, automation, and Industry 4.0 solutions to improve productivity and quality.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and CI teams to adopt digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collect, consolidate, and validate production data from multiple sources for visibility and data-driven decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional improvement and digital transformation projects from concept to implementation.
  • Facilitate training, coaching, and change management for Lean, Digitalization, and AI adoption.

Job Overview

The Continuous Improvement Specialist plays a key role in driving the plant’s digital transformation journey by combining Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Data Analytics, and AI-driven solutions to enhance operational performance. The position is responsible for identifying manufacturing improvement opportunities, developing digital tools and dashboards, and implementing automation and smart manufacturing initiatives that support data-driven decision-making and sustainable business results. Please note: operations are currently based at a temporary site in Webster, NY. The team will transition to a permanent Rochester location (near RIT) upon completion.

Job Requirements
  • Lead TEOA deployment, Lean maturity improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, VSM, Kaizen, and process standardization projects to improve operational performance.

  • Facilitate training, coaching, and change management activities to drive adoption of Lean, Digitalization, and AI solutions.
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Digitalization, Digital Transformation, Continuous Improvement, or Smart Manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, VSM, Kaizen, and Process Improvement.
  • Hands-on experience in Data Analytics, Dashboard Development, and Data Visualization (e.g., Power BI).
  • Experience leading Digital Transformation, AI, Automation, or Industry 4.0 initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes with the ability to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Experience developing digital solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, or similar technologies.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good English communication skills and ability to collaborate with global stakeholders.

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $90,500 - $138,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
