Job summary

Clysar is seeking an Intertape Performance System (IPS) CI Leader to drive continuous improvement across the site by engaging employees and integrating IPS methodologies. You will lead high-impact initiatives, leverage data for productivity, quality and service gains, and collaborate with site leadership to align projects with operating goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of CI experience in manufacturing.
• Lean Six Sigma training preferred; QA experience desired.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Able to interact with all levels of the organization and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Own Continuous Improvement responsibility at the facility.
• Designs and implements IPS that improves results, reduces costs and eliminates waste.
• Leverages data to drive CI across productivity, quality, customer service, sales, etc.
• Collaborate with site leadership to identify high impact initiatives with step-change improvements.
• Ensure execution of CI projects and support sponsors in their completion.
• Provide leadership for CI across all areas and align with value stream.
• Sustain progress and incorporate learnings from corporate IPS.
• Drive alignment with Corporate IPS Operational Excellence Pillar Team.
• Lead high impact initiatives with change management and VOC integration as needed.
• Engage with site and corporate engineering to align process improvements with daily needs.

Description

Position Purpose:

Leads the Intertape Performance System (IPS) at Clysar, driving excellence throughout the site through employee engagement. The CI Leader drives the development and integration of all continuous improvement.

Principle Accountabilities:

1. This position will have full Continuous Improvement Responsibility at the Clysar Facility,
2. Designs and implements IPS - IPS Intertape Performance System at Clysar that improves results, reduces costs and eliminates waste.
3. Leverages data to drive continuous improvement in areas such as productivity, quality, customer service, sales, etc.
4. Collaborate with site leadership team to identify and prioritize high impact initiatives that will provide a step-change improvement within the site, and external to the site from a customer facing perspective.
5. Assure execution of continuous improvement projects, supporting project sponsors or process owners in their successful completion. Assist continuous improvements teams with method implementation and the alignment of projects with the operating goals of the site.
6. Provide leadership for all continuous improvement within all areas of the organization and drive clear linkage of activities to the value stream.
7. Implement and maintain a mechanism to sustain the progress as the site gains experience with these methodologies. Incorporate learnings and new methods identified throughout the corporation into the site.
8. Drive alignment and effectiveness of continuous improvement activities with the corporate strategies, plans and objectives through close coordination of activity with the Corporate IPS Operational Excellence Pillar Team.
9. Lead high impact initiatives as assigned, incorporating the principles of continuous improvement, a value stream approach, and the voice of the customer as appropriate to the specific objectives of the initiative. Provide for effective communication and change management processes within the site as needed with respect to the initiative.
10. Engage with the sites and corporate engineering team to effectively drive process improvement aligned with daily manufacturing needs and align with strategic goals.
11. Any other tasks as assigned by the Operations Leader.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

• B.S. in Engineering preferred. Master degree in related field preferred.
• 10+ years of successful continuous improvement experience in manufacturing and demonstrated project management and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite required.
• Continuous improvement experience is required; lean manufacturing Six Sigma training preferred.
• Experience in Quality Assurance is desired.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills required.
• Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
• Must be able to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Some travel will be necessary.
