Job summary

SP Industries Inc. in Vineland, NJ is seeking a Continuous Improvement Facilitator to lead sustainable CI initiatives within Lab Consumables and standardize best practices.

The role drives adoption of continuous improvement through coaching, training, and cross-plant collaboration while focusing on the ATS value drivers. Responsibilities include leading Kaizen events, developing and executing communication plans, and tracking KPI results to strategic plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or MTBI or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with continuous improvement tools (Lean, SPC, Kaizen, VSM, A3, DMAIC).
  • Certified Lean Manager or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • 7+ years in manufacturing with supply chain and quality systems.
  • Strong PM, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Guiding and coaching teams in developing skills that align with the ABM strategy and deployment goals.
  • Coaching and building support for corporate requirements while delivering results and capability growth.
  • Leading ABM projects/Kaizen events for cross-plant improvement results.
  • Ensuring ABM training, tools, assessments and resources are used effectively by employees.
  • Developing and executing communication plans to support rollout and education on CI.
  • Providing progress reports on improvements and tracking results to strategic plans and KPI's.
  • Conducting in-depth root-cause analysis (A3) and leading focused improvement activities.
  • Coaching plant management systems and practicing coaching Kata.
  • Utilising Value Stream Mapping and ABM tools to modify workflow.
  • Coaching development of effective standard work across the plant.
  • Facilitating CI workshops and training events.
  • Working with ABM Leader to align improvement with the 8 value drivers.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with ATS Code of Business Conduct.
  • Adheres to health and safety rules.

Continuous Improvement Facilitator

SP Industries Inc. is searching for our team in Vineland, NJ and has an immediate opening for a Continuous Improvement Facilitator. In this role, the right candidate will be responsible for the introduction and implementation of sustainable continuous improvement initiatives relating to the Lab Consumables processes. It is also responsible for the development and standardisation of best practices at Lab Consumables and the champion to drive adoption of continuous improvement practices.

ABM:

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Guiding and coaching teams in developing skills that align with the ABM strategy and deployment goals
  • Coaching and effectively building support for corporate requirements while facilitating an integrated plan that delivers both the needed results and the growth in capability (skills and culture) for sustaining continuous improvement
  • Leading ABM projects/Kaizen events for improvement results that can be leveraged across plants
  • Ensuring that ABM training, tools, assessments and resources are being utilised appropriately and effectively by employees
  • Developing and executing communication plans to support the rollout and education on continuous improvements and best practices across the plant
  • Providing progress reports on improvements and tracking results to strategic plans and KPI's
  • Conducting in depth root-cause analysis (A3 Problem Solving) - Lead or coach focused improvement activities and teams to improve results that link to ATS's 8 value drivers
  • Coaching and teaching plant management systems, and practicing coaching Kata
  • Utilising and facilitating Value Stream Mapping, process flow charts and other ABM tools to recommend and facilitate modifications in workflow
  • Coaching the process of developing and deploying effective standard work practices across the plant - Share and reapply proven methods across divisions as appropriate
  • Facilitating and co-facilitating various CI related workshops and training events
  • Working across disciplines to remove barriers and streamline processes by understanding their requirements
  • Working with the ABM Leader and ABM team in analysing key performance indicators to ensure improvement efforts are strategically aligned to the 8 value drivers
  • Ensures that all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
  • Adheres to all health and safety rules and procedures.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or MTBI, or equivalent education and experience as determined by management
  • Hands-on experience with continuous improvement tools (e.g. Lean, SPC, statistical analyses, problem solving, kaizens, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, Kanban, A3 s, DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve control)
  • Certified Lean Manager preferred - Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • At least 7+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment and experience with supply chain and quality systems
  • Strong project management, organisational, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to provide leadership to direct reports, and to positively influence those with whom there is no reporting relationship
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict effectively, manage change and problem solve
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and applicable ATS software applications
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to work both efficiently and effectively under varying conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to drive execution, influence others effectively, solve problems, and contribute as a personable, collaborative team member

Salary Range : $90k-$105k

  • Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
