Job summary

FGF Brands is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our OpEx team in a fast-growing food manufacturing environment in the United States. You will drive standardization, cost reductions, and efficiency improvements across manufacturing, sanitation, and maintenance processes.

You will analyze data with DMAIC, support equipment commissioning, train multiple teams, and leverage AI/Digital tools to optimize operations while maintaining a safe workplace.

Qualifications

  • Completed post-secondary education in Engineering, Business Management or related field.
  • 1+ year experience in a Continuous Improvement role in manufacturing (co-op considered).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset
  • Experience with Excel Advanced Functions and VBA is an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate, etc.) is an asset
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Prior work experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills
  • Must have demonstrated ability to interact with others and lead a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Flexible to work different schedules when needed
  • Must be flexible, high energy and passionate in getting things done
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • As part of the OpEx team, work on multiple projects related to operations, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sanitation, Quality, and Maintenance & Reliability
  • Collect and analyze data using a structured DMAIC approach to implement sustainable improvements in all aspects of operations
  • Support planning and execution of key continuous improvement projects under the OpEx Team Leader
  • Support commissioning activities of new equipment and manufacturing lines
  • Create an environment fostering continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
  • Lead training sessions for Production, Sanitation, Quality, and Maintenance teams
  • Support troubleshooting and drive completion of projects to fruition
  • Ensure a safe working environment at all times
  • Work in automation and development of prototype applications
  • Leverage AI and digital tools to analyze operational data, identify inefficiencies, and support data-driven continuous improvement initiatives
  • Use AI to enhance problem-solving, automate reporting, and improve documentation while ensuring insights are validated and aligned with on-ground operations

Responsibilities:

  • As part of the Operational Excellence (OpEx) team, work on multiple projects related to operations, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sanitation, Quality, and Maintenance & Reliability
