Job summary

HII Newport News Shipbuilding seeks a seasoned Continuous Improvement Engineer to design and implement programs that align with our business strategy. You will lead cross-functional teams, map processes, and install governance structures that drive measurable performance gains.

Responsibilities include defining improvement projects, analyzing outcomes, coaching teams, and establishing metrics. Six Sigma certification is a plus, and experience across manufacturing and naval systems is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience.
• Bachelors + Master’s qualifications or equivalents are acceptable.
• Equivalent qualifications listed in the job posting may meet minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Defines, designs and implements continuous improvement programs aligned with business strategy.
• Analyzes improvement programs and potential results; establishes performance metrics.
• Coaches and facilitates improvement teams; supports program governance and reviews.
