Job Summary
  • Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements
  • Researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data
  • Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity and reduced cost
  • Determines how new information technologies can support reengineering business processes
  • May specialize in one or more of the following areas: benchmarking, business process analysis and reengineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems requirements

Essential Functions
  • Studies organizational processes and operations and develops quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluates internal processes and identifies opportunities for improvements.
  • Gathers data for key performance indicators for functions being reviewed, evaluates current state, and proposes future state goals and objectives.
  • Measures results of implemented improvement strategies and modifies continuous improvement programs in response.
  • Assists in the development and delivery of continuous improvement related training programs.
Required Qualifications
  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Business, Engineering, Operations or related field preferred
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Problem management. Judgement. Detail oriented. Attentiveness. Project management skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Travel Requirements

Up to 25% travel likely.
