Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Operation Planner to bring military planning expertise to homeland defense projects and COOP planning.

You will develop and publish COOP Plans, CONOPS, and related policies while coordinating with USPACOM and other stakeholders to protect government assets and ensure mission continuity.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in military planning as part of a Brigade HQs staff.
  • Experience in the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
  • Experience in Mission Assurance and Emergency Management planning.
  • Knowledge of National Defense Strategy and National Security Strategy.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Army Protection Warfighting Function, Homeland Defense Planning, and Multi-Domain Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct business process analysis to maintain mission critical functions during disasters and disruptions.
  • Plan for temporary work locations or alternate facilities and safeguard sensitive information.

As an Operation Planner, you’ll bring your military planning expertise to work on projects supporting homeland defense and enabling military operational readiness through robust Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning. Assist in the development, updating, and publishing of a family of COOP Plans, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and policies. Conduct business process analysis to recommend plans and procedures to maintain mission critical function during all levels of impact from natural disasters, military conflict, and every plausible source of catastrophic disruption to operations. Apply in-depth understanding of emergency management procedures and policy, planning for temporary work locations or alternate facilities, maintaining redundancy and continuity in protecting government assets and developing procedures for safeguarding sensitive and classified information. Priorities for planning consideration includes plan and CONOP development, identification of communication systems and personnel, resource utilization, and training and exercise execution. Understand and be able to apply a variety of processes to include operational planning, Joint Planning Process (JPP), and the Planning, Programing, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) to work collaboratively across USPACOM with various stakeholders on COOP.

You Have:

3+ years of experience in military planning as part of a Brigade HQs staff

Experience in the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)

Experience in Mission Assurance and Emergency Management planning

Knowledge of National Defense Strategy and National Security Strategy

Knowledge of U.S. Army Protection Warfighting Function, Homeland Defense Planning, and Multi-Domain Operations

Ability to follow through with orders production, program development, and stakeholder requirements management

Ability to analyze operational, strategic, and campaign plans to align and nest continuity of operations requirements

Nice If You Have:

Experience in the Joint Planning Process (JPP)

Experience supporting operations across USPACOM

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time

TS/SCI clearance

Completion of Military Education Level 4 Qualification Course, Senior NCO Professional Military Education, or Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education II

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
