Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Information Management, Life Sciences, or related disciplines.
• 10+ years of experience in data, AI, knowledge management, semantic technologies, or enterprise architecture.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Hands-on experience with RAG, Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI frameworks, Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Search, Vector Databases, Information Retrieval Systems.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale AI solutions using Microsoft Azure AI Services and Azure AI Foundry.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and govern the enterprise AI context layer for scalable applications.
• Architect and optimize RAG pipelines, semantic retrieval, grounding, memory, and prompt orchestration.
• Build scalable solutions for enterprise AI use cases including healthcare, scientific research, and competitive intelligence.
• Define and implement advanced prompt engineering and agent orchestration strategies.
• Collaborate with governance, data management, and platform teams to ensure compliance and traceability.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI Context Engineer to design and scale the context layer that powers next-generation AI solutions across the enterprise. This role sits at the intersection of Generative AI, Knowledge Graphs, Ontologies, RAG Architectures, and Agentic AI, ensuring that AI systems deliver accurate, grounded, compliant, and business-relevant outcomes.

As a key member of our AI transformation journey, you will work closely with business stakeholders, domain experts, data scientists, and AI engineers to transform complex enterprise knowledge into intelligent context that fuels large language models (LLMs), copilots, and autonomous agents.

Key Responsibilities

Context Engineering & AI Architecture

• Design, develop, and govern the context layer for enterprise AI applications, ensuring AI systems have access to relevant, trustworthy, and actionable information.
• Architect and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, semantic retrieval frameworks, grounding strategies, memory capabilities, and prompt orchestration mechanisms.
• Build scalable solutions that support omni-channel content generation, medical content development, scientific research workflows, and competitive intelligence use cases.
• Define and implement advanced prompt engineering techniques to improve response quality, relevance, and explainability.

Knowledge Graphs, Ontologies & Semantic AI

• Translate enterprise ontologies, semantic data models, taxonomies, and knowledge graphs into structured context consumable by agents and large language models.
• Develop semantic frameworks that improve discoverability, contextual understanding, traceability, and compliance of AI-generated outputs.
• Collaborate with data governance, information management, and platform teams to ensure consistency and accuracy across knowledge assets.

Agentic AI & Orchestration

• Design intelligent agent workflows and orchestration patterns using Azure AI Foundry and modern Agentic AI frameworks.
• Create and optimize agent instructions, tool definitions, workflows, memory management strategies, and autonomous reasoning capabilities.
• Enable AI agents that support research, commercial operations, medical affairs, and enterprise services while maintaining governance and control.

AI Evaluation, Governance & Quality Assurance

• Establish robust evaluation frameworks and measurement systems for Generative AI solutions.
• Define and monitor metrics such as:
• Groundedness
• Relevance
• Faithfulness
• Hallucination rates
• Response consistency
• Medical accuracy
• Regulatory compliance
• Drive continuous improvement through experimentation, evaluation feedback loops, and performance optimization.

Business Partnership & Domain Expertise

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Medical Affairs, R&D, Commercial, Market Access, and Enterprise Functions to understand business challenges and knowledge requirements.
• Capture domain expertise and convert it into structured AI-ready context models.
• Ensure AI initiatives are aligned with measurable business outcomes, user adoption goals, and compliance expectations.
• Act as a trusted advisor, helping business teams maximize value from AI-powered solutions.

Required Qualifications
