Duties

• Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions to deliver contents efficiently across multiple routes
• Load and unload items using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols
• Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules
• Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups
• Verify delivery documentation, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate recording of all transactions
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Assist with warehouse organization, including moving stock and managing inventory as needed
• Safely operate company vehicles to transport contents, equipment, and materials.
• Assist with packing, inventorying, and handling customer belongings when needed.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and inventory transfers.
• Maintain communication with supervisors regarding schedules, route changes, and job updates.
• Follow all company safety policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, where applicable.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
• Assist with warehouse organization and storage activities as needed.

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles
• Strong background in customer service with excellent communication skills
• Prior warehouse experience involving heavy lifting, moving, or inventory management is highly desirable
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles preferred
• Familiarity with forklift operation and pallet jack use is a plus
• Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety regulations for heavy vehicle operation
• Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and work in physically demanding environments
