Job summary

Restoration 1 of San Antonio North is seeking a detail‑oriented Contents Cleaning and Packing Technician. You’ll work on-site at homes and businesses affected by water or fire damage, protecting and restoring personal belongings during stressful times.

Strong attention to detail and a caring, professional approach are essential as you document and handle customers' items. You will document contents being packed, photograph and note any pre-existing damage, and use company software to maintain

Qualifications

• Must have high attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license with a clean record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Prior restoration/cleaning/moving experience is a plus but not required.
• IICRC certification is a plus or willingness to obtain on hire.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Document contents being packed, including photographing and noting any pre-existing damage.
• Carefully pack household items and belongings into boxes for transport and storage.
• Complete detailed inventory lists using company software.
• Clean contents affected by mold, smoke, or fire damage using approved methods and products.
• Move, load, and unload boxes and items into and out of moving vans.
• Handle client belongings with care and professionalism at all times.
• Communicate respectfully with clients on-site.

About The Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Contents Cleaning and Packing Technician to join our Restoration team. In this role, you'll be on-site at homes and businesses affected by water and fire damage, helping clients protect and restore their personal belongings during a stressful time. Strong attention to detail and a caring, professional approach are essential — you'll be documenting and handling people's personal property.

Responsibilities

• Document contents being packed, including photographing and noting any pre-existing damage
• Carefully pack household items and belongings into boxes for transport and storage
• Complete detailed inventory lists using company software
• Clean contents affected by mold, smoke, or fire damage using approved methods and productsMove, load, and unload boxes and items into and out of moving vans

Requirements

• Good attitude, team player, good work ethic and integrity
• High attention to detail — accuracy in documentation and inventory is critical
• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Comfortable working in varying conditions, including homes affected by fire, smoke, or mold
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
• Prior experience in restoration, cleaning, moving, or a related field a plus (not required)
• IICRC certification a plus, or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Bilingual a plus

Physical Requirements

• Frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly and work as part of a two-person lift team for heavier items
• Comfortable working in dusty, smoky, or damp environments with appropriate PPE
