Job summary

Walt Disney Company is seeking a Content Planning professional to support day‑to‑day slate updates and end‑to‑end planning for Disney+. The role involves coordinating with executives and cross‑functional teams to capture details, route approvals, and communicate updates across the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in content planning or scheduling, strong organizational skills, and experience with Airtable, Excel, Google Docs/Sheets, and Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • Experience with content planning tools; Airtable preferred.

  • Ability to manage and process detailed information while keeping perspective on the bigger picture.

Responsibilities

  • Support day‑to‑day for tracking slate updates within the end‑to‑end content planning lifecycle, coordinating with key stakeholders (including executives) throughout the process.
  • Support day‑to‑day content planning intake process, which includes adding titles to scope, capturing all associated creative and business details, routing for approvals, and communicating updates with cross‑functional teams.
  • Support Sr. Manager, Content Planning with ad hoc strategic projects tied to function.
  • Act as a SME on the team for slate‑tracking processes related to the systems and tools we use, supporting efforts to improve these processes/systems.

Job description

Disney’s Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best‑in‑class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. The Disney+ Global Content Programming and Subscriber Engagement team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on‑service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.

What You Will Do
  • Support day‑to‑day for tracking slate updates within the end‑to‑end content planning lifecycle, coordinating with key stakeholders (including executives) throughout the process.
  • Support day‑to‑day content planning intake process, which includes adding titles to scope, capturing all associated creative and business details, routing for approvals, and communicating updates with cross‑functional teams.
  • Support Sr. Manager, Content Planning with ad hoc strategic projects tied to function.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the team for slate‑tracking processes related to the systems and tools we use, supporting efforts to improve these processes/systems.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar field such as content planning, slate planning, content strategy, or scheduling.
  • Experience with content planning tools; Airtable preferred.
  • Proven ability to excel in ambiguous roles and dynamic processes, adapting through self‑reliance and resourcefulness.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree.

The hiring range for this position in CA is $70,000.00 to $93,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
