Content Partnership Manager

Job Description

CONTENT PARTNERSHIP MANAGER

Notice to California Residents: Please review the California Employee and Applicant Privacy Policy prior to submitting your application

At Athletic Brewing, we are on a mission to revolutionize the beer industry and we are doing it with a team of doers. We move quickly, we hold a high bar, and we reward performance. We are a company of hard workers and dedicated professionals who take ownership, drive results, and want their impact to be visible.

We believe in merit, accountability, and earning opportunities through contribution. High performers grow here. If you are motivated by building, improving, and winning as a team, you will thrive at Athletic.

Through our products and our people, we believe we can positively impact health, activity, and opportunity in our communities. We actively seek representation from diverse backgrounds and experiences and are committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve.

About the Role

We are seeking a Content Partnership Manager who will own and grow Athletic's creator and content partnership program end-to-end. This role is highly strategic and execution focused. You will spend your time designing the partnership portfolio, negotiating deals that put creator content to work as paid creative, and serving as the quality gate that ensures every piece of partner content reflects the Athletic brand consistently, from first draft to paid placement.

Our Content Partnership Manager is the connective tissue between creators, media, and brand at Athletic. This role is deeply collaborative, working alongside media planning, social, and PR teams to turn creator relationships into a repeatable content engine. If you are energized by building innovative programs, negotiating with integrity, and finding inclusive ways to bring diverse creator voices into the Athletic story, this is where you will thrive.

This is a self-directed, results driven position. Success requires accountability for measurable ROI, numbers fluency that can withstand CFO-level scrutiny, and a proactive approach to sourcing and vetting talent across the creator economy.

Job Responsibilities:

Partnership Strategy & Program Ownership

  • Own the creator and content partnership function end-to-end: annual strategy, program planning, content approval workflow, budgeting, and performance management.

  • Design the partnership portfolio — long-term ambassadors, micro-creator programs, UGC pipelines, and one-off collaborations — with a clear rationale for how each tier contributes to reach, content supply, and conversion.

  • Build annual plans and budget scenarios with reconciled totals, prior-year benchmarks, and a single recommended path with tradeoffs made explicit.

  • Define and recommend how to measure the impact of creator content on brand equity and volume uplift/ROI, moving evaluation beyond surface-level engagement metrics to indicators that demonstrate real business impact.

  • Navigate category‑specific constraints — non‑alcoholic category rules, platform policies for alcohol‑adjacent brands, and league/sponsorship regulations — building compliant programs without sacrificing creative impact.

  • Design a consistent briefing and feedback framework for influencer content to ensure key brand messages get reflected in developed influencer content.

Creator Partnerships as a Media Channel

  • Source, vet, negotiate, and manage creator partnerships — rates, contracts, deliverables, exclusivity, FTC disclosure compliance, and relationship health.

  • Negotiate usage and amplification rights (whitelisting, Meta partnership ads, TikTok Spark Ads) at the deal stage so partner content can be deployed as paid creative without retrofitting.

  • Partner with media planning and buying to integrate creator assets into channel plans, select partners based on performance data rather than follower counts, and reallocate budget toward what works.

  • Run a test‑and‑learn agenda across creators, formats, and creative hooks — using paid performance signals to sharpen briefs, rosters, and spend allocation each cycle.

  • Build a repeatable content supply pipeline that feeds paid social, digital, email, and web with proven creator assets.

Measurement & Business Impact

  • Define and own outcome‑based KPIs that tie the partnership program to business results including but not limited to retail velocity, household penetration, conversion, cost efficiency, and brand lift.

  • Run structured attribution (unique codes, UTMs, dedicated landing pages, incrementality and sales‑lift reads) so program ROI holds up to finance‑level scrutiny.

  • Own program reporting: performance versus plan, spend versus budget, prior‑year comparisons, and the course‑corrections the data calls for.

Brand & Communications Integration (Secondary)

  • Coordinate creator partnerships with sponsorship activations, PR moments, and the social content calendar so partner content amplifies the brand’s biggest platforms rather than running parallel to them.

  • Supply partner content and assets to social and PR teams for earned and organic use — the same pipeline that feeds paid channels should feed the brand.

  • Serve as the brand‑voice and reputational quality gate on partner content before it carries paid dollars or the Athletic name.

Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may be changed or assigned at any time.

Desired Experience/ Traits

Who You Are:

  • A self‑directed owner‑operator who runs the partnership function like it’s your own P&L.

  • Culturally plugged into the creator economy — you know the creators, formats, and platform shifts that matter before they show up in a trend report.

  • Numbers‑fluent: comfortable building budgets, prior‑year benchmarks, and CPM/CPA math that withstands CFO‑level scrutiny.

  • A skilled negotiator who secures the rights, terms, and value that make partnerships work harder.

  • A natural connector who spots where a creator partnership can multiply a sponsorship, PR, or social moment — and brokers the alignment to make it happen.

  • A collaborative team player who communicates clearly and brings positive, high‑integrity energy to the team.

Skills and Experience:

  • 4-7 years in creator/influencer marketing, content partnerships, or media, preferably with consumer lifestyle and/or beverage brands

  • Proven track record measuring the volumetric, equity, and ROI impact of creator partnerships and content, on either the agency or client side

  • Hands‑on experience with paid amplification of creator content, including whitelisting, Meta partnership ads, TikTok Spark Ads, and coordination with media planning/buying teams

  • Track record negotiating creator contracts, including usage rights, exclusivity, and FTC disclosure compliance

  • Direct ownership of a program budget, including forecasting, reconciliation, and prior‑year benchmarking

  • Working knowledge of measurement and attribution approaches (promo codes, UTM tracking, incrementality/sales‑lift studies, brand‑lift studies)

  • Comfortable with AI tools and influencer platforms for sourcing, workflow, and measurement

  • Track record managing agencies and external partners to clear deliverables and deadlines

  • Background in a regulated or age‑gated category (alcohol, non‑alcoholic beverage, wellness) is a plus

Job Details:

  • Location: Located onsite at our Milford, CT or San Diego, CA breweries. In office 4 days a week required.

  • Periodic travel required for partner activations, shoots, and industry events as needed.

  • Base Salary: $90,000 to $110,000 - commensurate with experience

  • Bonus: Eligible for discretionary annual bonus up to 15% of base pay.

  • Benefits: Company Paid health, vision, dental, life, 401k with 5% company match, and Paid Parental Leave

  • Community Program: In addition to Paid Time Off, all team members receive one paid day per month to dedicate to volunteering activities.

  • We value internal mobility and team equity.

  • We are an equal opportunity employer – we thrive when we champion diversity and inclusion. We are welcoming, respectful, and supportive at work and in our community.
