Job summary

Snap Inc. in the United States is seeking a Review Operations moderator to support content moderation, quality audits, and policy implementation for Snapchat.

The Review Operations team — a group within Snap’s Platform Integrity and Operations organization — focuses on moderating publicly facing content on Snapchat. It’s our job to keep each Snapchatter’s experience safe, whether that is engaging with a Snap on Spotlight, a creator on Discover or an advertisement served between friends Stories. Our team assesses broadly distributed content against our Recommendation Guidelines, Terms of Service, and Product-specific policies. Together, with our Product and Engineering counterparts, our Moderation team reinforces our Recommendation Guidelines across content types, every day. This team empowers Snapchatters to have safe, relevant and engaging experiences with content on Snapchat.

What you’ll do: Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Great judgment and ability to problem-solve, both independently and with peers
Experience with policy enforcement with a meticulous attention to detail
Experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional stakeholders

Excellent data analytics skills to drive problem-solving, decision-making and reporting

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal oversight
Passion for Snapchat, content, and online safety
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred qualifications:
Additional language skills are a plus

Experience in content moderation, operations/program management, product or related role

Experience in online safety related disciplines at a technology company
Experience with JIRA or similar issue tracking software
Flexible work-hours: full-time and weekends as needed

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base hourly range for this position is $28.84-$43.26 hourly.

Zone B:

The base hourly range for this position is $27.4-$41.34 hourly.

Zone C:

The base hourly range for this position is $24.51-$37.01 hourly.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
