Job description

About Glean:

Glean is the Work AI platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as the industry’s most advanced enterprise search has evolved into a full-scale Work AI ecosystem, powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on one secure, open platform. With over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs, Glean gives organizations the infrastructure to govern, scale, and customize AI across their entire business - without vendor lock-in or costly implementation cycles.

At its core, Glean is redefining how enterprises find, use, and act on knowledge. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph map the relationships between people, content, and activity, delivering deeply personalized, context-aware responses for every employee. This foundation powers Glean’s agentic capabilities - AI agents that automate real work across teams by accessing the industry’s broadest range of data: enterprise and world, structured and unstructured, historical and real-time. The result: measurable business impact through faster onboarding, hours of productivity gained each week, and smarter, safer decisions at every level.

Recognized by Fast Company as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies (Top 10, 2025), by CNBC’s Disruptor 50, Bloomberg’s AI Startups to Watch (2026), Forbes AI 50, and Gartner’s Tech Innovators in Agentic AI, Glean continues to accelerate its global impact. With customers across 50+ industries and 1,000+ employees in more than 25 countries, we’re helping the world’s largest organizations make every employee AI-fluent, and turning the superintelligent enterprise from concept into reality.

If you’re excited to shape how the world works, you’ll help build systems used daily across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, ServiceNow, Zendesk, GitHub, and many more - deeply embedded where people get things done. You’ll ship agentic capabilities on an open, extensible stack, with the craft and care required for enterprise trust, as we bring Work AI to every employee, in every company.

About the Role:

Glean is seeking a Content Marketing Manager, Japan to build our Japanese content marketing engine. Reporting to the Head of Japan Field Marketing, you will create and localize credible content for Japanese enterprise buyers, then work with Sales, partners, and marketing teams to ensure it reaches the right audiences and contributes to demand and pipeline.

This is an individual contributor role. “Manager” reflects ownership of the content marketing function and does not currently include people-management responsibilities.

You will:

  • Own Japan’s content priorities and editorial calendar based on local buyer needs and business goals.
  • Improve priority Japanese website pages and lead localization and editorial quality for global content.
  • Create Japan-native content such as customer stories, blog articles, solution guides, white papers, e-books, and video scripts.
  • Build practical SEO and AIO/GEO programs that improve discovery, engagement, and conversion.
  • Develop Japanese customer references and proof points with customers, Sales, Customer Success, Communications, and Legal.
  • Partner with Sales and Field Marketing to identify content gaps in priority accounts and active opportunities, and develop sales-ready assets that help buyers take the next step.
  • Plan how major content will be distributed and activated across digital, events, partners, nurture, and Sales channels.
  • Collaborate with Glean partners to review deliverables and co-create content that is relevant to shared customers and campaigns.
  • Manage agencies and freelancers while maintaining ownership of messaging, product accuracy, and final quality.
  • Measure content performance and use the results to improve engagement, lead generation, Sales usage, and pipeline influence.

About you:

  • You are a native-level Japanese writer and editor with professional English communication skills.
  • You have 7+ years of B2B content marketing experience, ideally in enterprise technology, SaaS, cloud, data, cybersecurity, or AI.
  • You have owned content beyond production, including distribution, activation, and performance measurement.
  • You understand Japanese enterprise buyers and can explain complex technology in clear, credible business language.
  • You have experience with website content, SEO, analytics, customer stories, and demand-generation assets.
  • You can work hands-on while managing multiple projects, agencies, and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
  • You are an effective cross-functional partner who can work with local, regional, global, and external partner teams.
  • You use AI tools thoughtfully to improve research, creation, repurposing, and analysis while maintaining strong editorial standards.

Location:

  • This role is remote and must be based in Tokyo, Japan.
