Job summary

JoVE is seeking a Content Creator to write scripts for short science education videos in our K3–K5 content line. The role focuses on turning science concepts into clear scripts, storyboards and production briefs for vendors.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Life Sciences with 2–3 years of script-writing experience for K12 videos, strong visual storytelling, and excellent written communication. You will collaborate with global teams in a creative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to picture how each line will look on screen and visualize when a visual should carry the explanation.

Responsibilities

• Follow our guidelines for script generation to produce scientifically accurate, educational, and engaging lessons.
• Create accompanying storyboards to visualize scientific concepts in an easy to understand manner for undergraduate students.
• Generate documents using our guidelines to provide instructions to media professionals such as voice talent, video editors, and animators.
• Review content (scripts, storyboards, and animation rough-cuts) and provide feedback based on your knowledge and expertise

The Role

JoVE is seeking a Content Creator to write scripts for short science education videos in our K3–K5 content line. An ideal candidate writes with the finished video in mind and can turn a science concept into a script, storyboard and production brief that vendors can work from directly.

Responsibilities

• Follow our guidelines for script generation to produce scientifically accurate, educational, and engaging lessons.
• Create accompanying storyboards to visualize scientific concepts in an easy to understand manner for undergraduate students.
• Generate documents using our guidelines to provide instructions to media professionals such as voice talent, video editors, and animators.
