Job summary

Hometown NP is seeking a Content Creator to own the end-to-end process from idea to publication. The role focuses on turning filming hours into hundreds of content pieces across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and more.

You will research content ideas with AI, craft scripts, edit videos, create captions and thumbnails, and manage publishing schedules. Strong organizational skills and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English required.
• Strong experience editing short-form videos.
• Experience using AI tools for content creation.
• Understanding of major platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn.

Content Creator

Location: Hometown NP Lagos, Louisiana, United States

About this position

We want to increase our presence online using AI, world‑class content systems, and social media marketing. Our goal is to turn just a few hours of filming each month into hundreds of pieces of content published across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.

We are looking for a Content creator and operations staff who can own this entire process from idea to publication.

What You’ll Do

• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to research and generate content ideas
• Write engaging short‑form video scripts and hooks
• Repurpose one video into multiple pieces of content
• Edit short‑form videos in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar software
• Create captions, graphics, and thumbnails
• Schedule and publish content across multiple social media platforms
• Track analytics and identify winning content
• Organize content calendars and production workflows
• Continuously improve content performance through testing and iteration

Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong experience editing short‑form videos
• Experience using AI tools for content creation
• Understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience with Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, Notion, ClickUp, or similar tools

Success Metrics

You will be responsible for helping us produce:

• 2 high‑quality videos per day
• Multiple hook variations for testing
• Repurposed content across all major platforms
• Up to 600 pieces of content per month
• Consistent audience growth and engagement
