Job summary

The Department of Art at the University of Central Oklahoma invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Drawing/Printmaking, beginning August 2027. The candidate will teach drawing and printmaking courses at all levels and guide senior capstone projects.

Required: MFA in Studio Art with emphasis in drawing/printmaking and at least two years of college teaching beyond graduate school; preferred: active exhibition record and involvement in curriculum development

MFA in Studio Art with emphasis in drawing and printmaking.
Minimum of two years of college-level teaching beyond graduate school.
Strong knowledge of contemporary and historical issues in drawing and printmaking.
Active exhibition and scholarly record.

Responsibilities

Teach three studio courses per semester across drawing and printmaking.
Coordinate the drawing area and supervise adjunct faculty in drawing and printmaking.
Create a studio environment that fosters innovation, experimentation, and critical thinking.
Maintain an active exhibition and scholarly record.
Contribute to department, college, university, and community service, including recruitment and retention.
