Job summary

CFD Research Corporation is expanding its infrastructure team in Huntsville to focus on provisioning, securing, and maintaining modern enterprise container environments that host defense software applications. You will be responsible for deployment architecture, cluster security hardening, and secure container management.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, 3+ years of relevant experience with cloud or hybrid platforms, and hands-on work with Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat/OpenShift.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on cloud, hybrid, or bare-metal platform experience.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance and US citizenship.
• Experience deploying and securing Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field as listed.

This role focuses on provisioning, securing, and maintaining modern enterprise container environments that host critical defense software applications. You will be responsible for deployment architecture, cluster security hardening, and secure container management.

Basic Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Department of Defense Secret clearance (must maintain throughout contract performance).
• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience working within cloud, hybrid, or bare-metal platform architectures.
• Technical Proficiency: Direct expertise deploying and managing Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat/OpenShift, and architecting secure container environments.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, IT, or related STEM field.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience applying DoD container hardening guides (such as Defense Information Systems Agency - DISA STIGs).
• Strong background in Linux systems administration.
