Job summary

Waste Pro USA is seeking a painter to prepare various vehicles and equipment for restoration. The role covers dismantling, washing, masking, priming and painting using single or two stage systems, plus body repairs on heavy duty trucks.

The ideal candidate will have mechan ic trade school certification or 3+ years' experience, EPA certification, and proficiency with factory service manuals and relevant tools. OSHA safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of body fillers, epoxy & urethane primers & paints, single and two stage paint systems.
• Knowledge of Paint & Body work.
• Computer skills as required.
• Toolbox and tools commonly used for body repairs, part removal & painting.
• Mechanic trade school certification or 3+ years of experience.
• 6h Federal EPA certified.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and reassemble vehicles and equipment as part of restoration.
• Wash and prep vehicles for paint and perform minor body work.
• Mask, prime, and paint using single or two stage systems.
• Perform body repairs on heavy duty equipment including various truck types.
• Complete paperwork and time tracking on repair orders.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean work area.

Job description

The Waste Pro Painter is responsible for preparing projects for the restoration of a variety of vehicles and equipment.

Essential Job Functions

• Skills should include dismantling & reassembling vehicles, wash/prep vehicles for paint, minor body work, sanding/prep, masking, priming & painting (single and 2 stage systems).
• Perform body repairs on Heavy Duty Equipment, including but not limited to Rear Load, Front Load, Roll Off, Grapple, Port-a-let, and other service type trucks including chassis and body.
• Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective repair.
• Completes all required paperwork / computer data entry, including documenting parts usage and time in and out on repair orders, in a timely and concise manner
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Conducts repairs utilizing Factory Service Manuals when needed.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain high standard of Ethics and Dependability.
• Ability to research information needed to fix and restore trucks including chassis and bodies.
