Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Senior Global Process Engineering Leader to set and drive the global strategy, priorities, and roadmaps across Jacksonville and Limerick. You will mentor a high‑performing organization and partner with R&D, Operations, Quality, and MAKE Engineering on readiness, transfer, and risk management.

You will lead structured problem solving, validation, FMEA, data analytics, and lifecycle management while driving continuous improvement and standardization in regulated manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years in Process/Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, or Quality.
• Minimum 8 years of people leadership experience.
• Ability to set strategy and lead cross-site global teams in a matrix.
• Experience standardizing engineering practices and governance across sites.
• Strong GMP, validation, FMEA, and risk management knowledge.
• Six Sigma/FPX/PMP certifications preferred.

Job description

• Set and lead the global process engineering strategy, priorities, and technical roadmap across Jacksonville and Limerick
• Harmonize process engineering skills, practices, standards, tools, and ways of working across the global team
• Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing global engineering organization
• Lead capability development, succession planning, technical career growth, and future leadership readiness
• Partner with R&D, Operations, Quality, MAKE Engineering, and global stakeholders on engineering readiness, risk management, technology transfer, and strategic programs
• Lead structured problem solving, process characterization, validation, FMEA, troubleshooting, data analytics, and lifecycle management
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization across manufacturing processes and equipment platforms
• Ensure compliance with procedures, training, GMP expectations, and prompt identification, escalation, and correction of deviations or emerging process risks
• Support contact lens manufacturing across Jacksonville and Limerick

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Technical Development, R&D, or Quality required
• Minimum 8 years of people leadership experience required, including coaching, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and organizational capability building
• Ability to set strategy, translate vision into executable plans, and lead cross-site or global technical teams in a matrixed environment
• Experience standardizing engineering practices, building technical capability, and harmonizing skills, tools, and governance across teams or manufacturing sites
• Strong technical knowledge of GMP, regulated manufacturing, process and equipment validation, process characterization, FMEA, risk management, and disciplined engineering practices
• Ability to solve complex technical problems, deliver measurable continuous improvement, influence senior stakeholders, and lead change across organizational boundaries
• Strong communication, collaboration, decision-Making, project leadership, and management skills
• Medical device and/or pharmaceutical experience preferred
• Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt and FPX or PMP certification preferred
