Job summary

University of Pikeville is seeking a Contact Lens Assistant Level II to support clinical faculty and students in the KYCO Contact Lens Lab, handling lab setup, inventory, and student/patient preparation.

The role offers up to 10 hours per week during lab hours. Pay is $10.50 per hour. Must be a current UPIKE student in good standing, and you will work in the KYCO Lab with the supervision of faculty.

Qualifications

• Must be a current UPIKE student in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and stock contact lens supplies for the contact lens lab – P, T
• Assist with organization and cleanliness of the contact lens rooms – P, CSD
• Maintain cleanliness of clinical equipment, including trial lenses and solutions – P, T
• Assist in the preparation and restocking of supplies for student labs – TW, P
• Provide support during clinical lab sessions when students need materials or troubleshooting help – TW, C, T
• Collaborate with supervisors to maintain accurate inventory lists – CT, T, P
• May assist with tracking and organizing patient contact lens orders under supervision – C, T, P
• Complete assigned administrative or clerical duties related to lab upkeep – P, T
• Communicate with faculty or staff regarding needs, issues, or requests in the lab – C, TW
