Job summary

UMB Bank in the United States is seeking a Consumer Services Specialist to deliver exceptional customer service by handling inbound service center calls. You will access multiple banking systems to answer questions, provide information, and cross-sell suitable products.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong English, 1–2 years of customer service experience, and the ability to navigate multiple computer systems while protecting privacy.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates pleasant phone and interaction skills with customers.

We are currently hiring for our next call center class that will start Monday, January 11th, 2027.

Consumer Services Specialist is responsible for delivering the Unparalleled Customer Experience and build relationships with UMB customers through the handling of inbound service center calls.

How you will spend your time:

• Interact with customers over the phone by accessing multiple systems in order to answer a variety bank related questions, provide information, resolve problems and cross sell appropriate products.
• Continue learning and maintaining skills through classroom training, self-paced online learning and the review of regular department communications.
• Performance will be measured based on call quality, talk time, cross sale success rate and demonstration of target competencies with monthly incentive opportunity.
• Other duties as assigned.

MUST be able to work any shift during our Service Center hours of M-F 7am-8pm CT and Saturdays 8am-5pm CT.

Targeted compensation for this opening: The posted salary range reflects the broadest standard range for this role, including all locations. The anticipated compensation for this specific opening is $19/hr.

Compensation Range:

$33,786 - $49,698
