Job summary

Direct Counsel seeks a Senior Associate with 7+ years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience to join its Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice in multiple U.S. offices, including Washington, DC.

You will advise on mortgage lending, consumer and commercial finance, licensing, and enforcement matters; collaborate with clients on complex regulatory issues, and contribute to client service excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of financial services regulatory/compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of applicable financial services laws and regulations.
• Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and client service orientation.
• Bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction required or eligible.
• Spanish fluency preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on mortgage lending, consumer finance, commercial finance, alternative lending, and FinTech products.
