Job summary

Chase is building a new Digital Assets team and seeking an Associate to help shape the strategy, growth and execution across crypto, blockchain and digital assets. You will work with business lines to evaluate the evolving financial ecosystem, assess implications for Chase, and define products and partnerships delivering value to customers.

You’ll collaborate with diverse teams, build financial models, and communicate insights to senior stakeholders, while contributing to a high-impact roadmap

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years in crypto/blockchain/digital assets within financial services.
• 3+ years in strategy, partnerships or deal execution.
• Experience formulating business strategy and building financial models.
• Cross-functional project management experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively develop partnership strategy with the lines of business, including identifying key elements of the strategy, completing analysis, and making recommendations.
• Work cross-functionally within Chase and JPMC and with external partners to identify, negotiate, and execute key partnerships and acquisitions that drive business results and support the business strategy.
• Develop and help deliver specific proposals with the lines of business, including overall vision, economics, and product definition.
• Work in conjunction with finance, legal and other functional partners to develop financial business cases, product constructs and key terms associated with partnerships / acquisitions.
• Monitor external environment for important competitive developments and potential partnership opportunities and communicate more broadly to key line of business partners as necessary.

Job description

The Chase Digital Assets and Blockchain Solutions team is responsible for delivering next generation banking solutions to Chase customers. Since the organization is new, you will have a chance to help shape the vision, execute the strategy and wear many hats. The team has three primary functions, 1) working with the lines of business on digital asset strategy, 2) building connections to the external ecosystem of startups and established companies in the crypto ecosystem, and 3) executing on new products via internal builds, partnerships and acquisitions to support the strategy.

As an Associate on the Consumer & Community Bank Digital Assets team, you will play a key role in strategy, growth, and execution of new business opportunities across crypto, blockchain and digital assets. You will work closely with lines of business to evaluate how the financial ecosystem is changing, assess the implications to Chase, and determine what products and partnerships will deliver value for Chase’s customers. You have deep knowledge of the crypto / blockchain ecosystem, outstanding analytic skills and can build strong relationships, and have a passion for consumer financial services.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+years of experience in the crypto / blockchain / digital assets ecosystem with a focus on financial services
• 3+ years of strategy, partnership or deal execution experience
• Experience formulating business strategy, including structuring problems, completing analysis, and making recommendations
• Project management experience in a cross-functional environment
• Ability to work independently and quickly adapt to new or ambiguous situations without significant assistance
• Deep analytical skills, including understanding of common financial statements and ability to build financial models in Excel
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate to senior internal and external stakeholders
• Sense of urgency with disposition to execute and a demonstrated career of successful partnership and/or deal execution
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• Crypto / blockchain / digital assets experience in financial services
• Consumer financial services/banking experience
