Job summary

Davey Resource Group, Inc. is seeking Vegetation Management professionals to maintain safe utility infrastructure and protect natural resources in the Washington, DC area. You will perform inspections, recommend treatments, and support field crews using GIS and mobile tech.

Ideal candidates bring outdoor passion, GIS literacy, and teamwork to help utilities deliver reliable power while protecting ecosystems. A company vehicle and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Passion for outdoor work in varying terrain and weather.
• Ability to read GIS maps and spatial data.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using mobile technology.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a 4x4 vehicle and travel within the service area.
• Knowledge of local tree species identification and growth patterns.

What You'll Do

As a Vegetation Management professional, you will play a key role in maintaining safe and reliable utility infrastructure while protecting natural resources.

Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate a 4x4 vehicle and travel within the service area
• Knowledge of or ability to learn local tree species identification and growth patterns

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or related field
• Utility vegetation management or right-of-way experience
• ISA Certified Arborist®

Leadership experience and a desire for career advancement are strongly encouraged.
