Consulting Utility Forester for Routine and Special Projects

Work Location: This position offers a unique opportunity to work in various locations around District 50 (Shaver lake), or as a Roving Forester across Northern California if needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with major electric utility systems to inspect rights of ways and utility infrastructure, identifying vegetation incompatible with state and federal regulations.
• Collect and enter data on handheld devices, follow maps, and use GPS navigation.
• Communicate with landowners regarding necessary work on their properties.
• Assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions.
• Coordinate with project managers, planners, and vegetation crews.

Required Qualifications
