Job summary

Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to work in the field with utility clients and property owners, focusing on safe and sustainable vegetation management. The role involves outdoor site work, data collection, and coordination with contractors.

This is an ESOP employee-owned environment that emphasizes growth, safety, and professional development. Candidates should have forestry education, ISA Arborist certification, and be prepared to obtain ISA Utility

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field is required or strongly preferred.
• ISA Certified Arborist credential is required or strongly preferred.
• ISA Utility Specialist certification within 6 months of hire.
• Commercial Pesticide License within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning and/or removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Manage capital projects and safety audits.
• Gather and manage field data including tree species and size.
• Verify data accuracy across databases and reporting.
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices and assist with equipment.
