Elliott Davis Advisory, LLC seeks a Consulting Technology Business Manager to bridge strategy and technology within our Consulting practice. You will partner with IT and operations to shape the technology roadmap, translate business needs into initiatives, and drive adoption across projects.

This role emphasizes process improvement, change management, training development, and measuring value from technology investments through stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, information systems, technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a public accounting environment, at least one year with Elliott Davis.
• Strong understanding of practice line and technology fundamentals.
• Experience with project management methodologies and change management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational leader on Consulting technology initiatives and maintain the Consulting technology roadmap.
• Support intake and portfolio processes to identify technology investments that support business objectives.
• Translate business needs into actionable technology initiatives via business cases.
• Drive standard operating procedures and process documentation, including visual workflows.
• Lead technology pilot programs, coordinate testing, measure impact, and develop recommendations.

The Consulting Technology Business Manager partners with the Consulting Operations Leader, IT, and Consulting professionals to drive operational excellence across the practice. This role serves as a bridge between business strategy and technology execution and is responsible for identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, implementing technology, automating manual processes, and supporting the adoption of innovative tools that enhance quality, increase efficiency, utilization, and improve team member experience. The ideal candidate combines process improvement expertise, strong practice line knowledge, strong execution skills, and a passion for technology with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and drive organizational change. Success in this role is measured by business outcomes, technology adoption, operational improvements, and value realization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational leader on Consulting technology initiatives and maintain the Consulting technology roadmap.
• Support the intake and portfolio process to identify, prioritize, and advocate for technology investments that support business objectives.
• Translate business needs into actionable technology initiatives via business cases.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve Consulting operational processes.
• Drive standard operating procedures and process documentation, including visual workflows.
• Drive adoption of practice technologies.
• Measure and communicate utilization, business outcomes, and value realization from technology investments.
• Engage in all phases of technology and process implementation, including post-implementation support.
• Lead change management efforts for new processes and technology implementations.
• Develop training materials and user adoption programs.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for Consulting professionals and support teams.
• Serve as the primary operational liaison between Consulting Operations Leader, IT, and external vendors.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand operational challenges and prioritize improvement initiatives.
• Lead technology pilot programs by coordinating testing, measuring business impact, gathering stakeholder feedback, and developing recommendations for implementation and broader adoption.
• Coordinate with external vendors on product enhancements and implementation initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role and practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, information systems, technology, or a related field required
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a public accounting environment, at least one of which has been spent at Elliott Davis
• Manager preferred
• Strong understanding of practice line
• Fundamental knowledge of technology
• Understanding of project management methodologies and change management strategies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through influence, collaboration, and relationship building
