Job summary

Vanderbilt University is seeking a Career & Experiential Learning Advisor for Consulting Pathways to provide high-touch advising and coaching to students pursuing careers in consulting and related professional services. You will help students navigate structured recruiting while integrating career advising, experiential learning, and milestone-based development throughout their journey.

Working with the Executive Director and Associate Director, you will support students from early exploration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• 3–5+ years in consulting, recruiting, or career advising.
• Strong advising, coaching, and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with students, employers, faculty, and campus partners.
• Familiarity with Handshake, CRMs, or career platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and group advising aligned with consulting recruiting timelines.
• Coach students in resumes, networking, behavioral interviews, and narratives.
• Guide milestone progression from exploration through internship and placement.
• Help students understand consulting career paths and prep strategies.
• Connect students to internships, projects, and experiential learning.
• Deliver workshops on recruiting, networking, case interview prep, and career readiness.
• Collaborate with student orgs and campus partners to expand engagement.
• Stay current on consulting recruiting trends and communicate changes.
