Job summary

Propel London Ltd. seeks a Software Engineer for Germany with SÜ2 clearance. You will be customer-facing, reading and interpreting code, guiding engagements from planning through delivery, and solving complex technical problems. Training is provided.

You should have 5+ years in software development or consulting, be German-speaking and resident in Germany, with strong MongoDB expertise, Java, and Linux deployment experience.

Software Engineer - Germany (SÜ2 security clearance required)

The Role

This is a customer facing, technical role suited to someone with a background in software development or consulting. The role is not hands on coding day to day, but you should be comfortable reading and interpreting code. You will work closely with client architects, developers, and operations teams, solving technical problems, supporting database deployments, and guiding consulting engagements from planning through to delivery. Full training is provided.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in software development, consulting, or support, across a range of industries
• German speaking and resident in Germany, with a willingness to undergo SÜ2 security clearance
• Excellent proficiency in MongoDB Enterprise Advanced, with access to and confidence using the MongoDB knowledge base
• Java as a main programming language.
• Familiarity with software architectures, deployment, and operations
• Comfortable working in Linux environments; Windows tuning knowledge is an advantage

Additional Technologies (Data Science)

The following are not core requirements but would be a strong advantage for the exploratory data analysis and data science aspects of the role:
