Job summary

MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) seeks a board-certified/eligible Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist to join our Biddeford team, providing psychiatric consultation to medical/surgical units as part of the MMC Portland-based C-L service. This role integrates with the Portland team, offering education, interdisciplinary teaching, case conferences, and scholarly activities.

This position provides academic collaboration with the MMC Portland Department of Psychiatry residency and Tufts Medical

Qualifications

• Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School.
• Current or eligible license by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine.
• Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or eligible for examination.
• Current DEA Registration Certificate.
• 3+ years' experience inclusive residency/fellowship preferred.
• Meet credentialing criteria defined in medical staff by-laws

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric consultation to medical/surgical units.
• Assess and manage co-occurring medical, psychiatric, and substance use disorders.
• Engage with MMC Portland team and participate in teaching activities.
• Participate in quality improvement and scholarly activities
