Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation professional to manage final mile shipments from forward distribution centers to customers in a 5‑day on-site role at the Swedesboro, NJ distribution center. The position requires flexibility for off-schedule hours, including weekends and holidays to support business needs.
Responsibilities include ensuring on-time departures and deliveries, resolving flow and carrier issues, and overseeing financial aspects of deliveries.
What Transportation contributes to Cardinal Health Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Transportation is responsible for the movement of materials and products between suppliers, manufacturing, warehousing and the customer. Management of transportation assets and systems to gain greater service, cost efficiency and optimization of processes.
Location: 5 days on-site, based out of the Swedesboro, NJ Pharmaceutical Distribution Center Schedule: Must be flexible to work off schedule hours including, weekends, holidays and after hours to support the business and customers. This role will support the Forwarding Distribution Center (FDC) and business units for Pharmaceutical Distribution.
Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects. May contribute to the development of policies and procedures. Works on complex projects of large scope. Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives. Completes work; independently receives general guidance on new projects. Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives. May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.
Anticipated salary range: $75,600 - $107,900. Bonus eligible: No.
