Job summary

Ducker Carlisle, headquartered in Boston with roles in multiple locations, seeks a Supply Chain Consultant to support client engagements focused on inventory optimization, procurement, and operational improvement. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
  • 2+ years of professional supply chain experience required.
  • Hands-on experience in inventory planning/optimization, procurement, warehouse management, transportation planning and/or supply chain network strategy is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including experience with large datasets; must demonstrate analyses and recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and proficiency in PowerPoint required.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, R, or other analytical tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex analysis clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational, multi‑tasking, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inventory analyses such as inventory segmentation, service levels, fill rate, inventory turns, excess and obsolete inventory, working capital, safety stock, replenishment parameters, and inventory positioning
  • Conduct procurement analyses including spend segmentation, supplier performance, sourcing opportunities, cost drivers, supplier concentration, and supplier risk
  • Evaluate warehouse operations, including capacity, layout, labor productivity, process flows, storage strategy, service performance, and opportunities for operational improvement
  • Analyze transportation operations, including freight spend, carrier and mode performance, routing, service levels, network flows, and cost-reduction opportunities
  • Support supply chain network strategy, including facility footprint, location and capacity requirements, product and inventory flows, and cost/service tradeoffs across alternative network scenarios
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, diagnose root causes, quantify opportunities, and support recommendations
  • Translate analysis into clear insights, implications, and recommended actions
  • Develop client‑ready presentations, analyses, dashboards, and other project deliverables
  • Present findings to clients and senior consulting staff
  • Manage assigned workstreams, including analysis planning, progress tracking, quality control
  • Apply supply chain best practices and industry benchmarks to client analyses and recommendations

What You'll Do

Consultants support client engagements across supply chain operations, with a focus on inventory optimization, procurement, and operational improvement. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on supply chain experience who can independently structure analyses, diagnose operational issues, develop practical recommendations, and own defined project workstreams. Consultants typically support one or two engagements simultaneously and work directly with Managers, senior project leaders, and client teams.

Compensation

The estimated base salary range for this role is $90,000 – $115,000 annually. Exact compensation is determined based upon qualifications,experience, and location. Consultants are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance.
