Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a skilled M&E Asset Surveying professional to assess building systems, capture lifecycle data and translate findings into practical recommendations for clients across projects.

You will work with digital tools, asset databases and Power BI to support reporting, budgeting and maintenance planning. Regular travel to client locations and occasional international assignments are expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of M&E building services and relevant compliance requirements.
• Experience with digital survey tools and asset databases is advantageous.
• Analytical, self-directed, client-focused with DBS/SC screening as applicable.

• M&E Asset Surveying: Inspect and assess HVAC, electrical, fire protection, plumbing and lift systems, capturing accurate condition, specification and lifecycle
• Compliance & Reporting: Apply relevant engineering standards and regulations to identify risks, assess compliance and produce clear, practical survey reports
• Data & Analytics: Use digital survey tools and asset management platforms to maintain reliable asset registers, analyse data and support reporting, ideally leveraging Power BI.
• Lifecycle & Investment Planning: Turn survey findings into insights that support maintenance strategies, asset replacement planning and budget forecasting.
• Client Collaboration & Project Delivery: Build trusted stakeholder relationships, coordinate effectively across teams, uphold health, safety and security requirements, and take ownership of your professional development.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

Bring knowledge of M&E building services, relevant compliance requirements and strong IT skills, ideally supported by up to three years' experience in asset management, building services engineering or facilities management. Experience with digital survey tools, asset databases and Power BI is advantageous. A practical engineering or M&E design background is desirable. You'll be analytical, self-directed, client-focused and willing to undertake DBS and Security Check (SC) screening where required. A valid driving licence is essential.

Working Environment

This is a UK-wide, site-based role involving regular travel to client locations, including London and Leeds, with occasional international assignments and overnight stays. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues and clients, with flexible working options where project requirements allow. Specific office attendance and hybrid or remote arrangements will be discussed during recruitment.
