Qualifications

  • Board-Certified Radiologist
  • Fellowship in Interventional Radiology or equivalent training
  • IR credentials or appropriate credentialing
  • Active or eligible Tennessee and/or Georgia medical license
  • Strong procedural Interventional Radiology experience
  • Hospital credentialing and privileging eligibility

Responsibilities

  • Perform interventional radiology procedures with safety and quality
  • Assess patients before and after intervention
  • Provide diagnostic reporting as required
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in IR call according to the working structure
  • Maintain documentation and clinical governance
  • Contribute to development and expansion of the IR service

The Opportunity

MatchMedics is supporting an excellent opportunity for a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join a growing radiology service in Tennessee.

The role combines a strong interventional procedural workload with the opportunity to undertake diagnostic reporting, offering significant flexibility around scheduling, call participation and overall working structure.

Interventional Practice

The successful physician will contribute to the delivery and development of Interventional Radiology services, with procedural activity potentially including:

  • Image-guided biopsies and drainages
  • Vascular access procedures
  • Angiography and vascular intervention
  • Venous intervention
  • Nephrostomy and genitourinary intervention
  • Biliary intervention
  • Other image-guided interventional procedures within the physician's scope of practice

The exact procedural mix can be discussed directly with clinical leadership and aligned with the successful physician's training and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform safe, effective and high-quality Interventional Radiology procedures
  • Assess patients appropriately before and following intervention
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic reporting where required
  • Work collaboratively with referring physicians, surgeons and multidisciplinary clinical teams
  • Participate in IR call according to the agreed working structure
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, procedural standards and clinical governance
  • Contribute to the development and expansion of the Interventional Radiology service
Requirements
  • Board-Certified Radiologist
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or equivalent recognised IR training
  • IR/DR certification or appropriate Interventional Radiology credentials
  • Active or eligible medical license in Tennessee and/or Georgia
  • Strong procedural Interventional Radiology experience
  • Appropriate hospital credentialing and privileging eligibility
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical environment
